REP. WAXMAN: Thank you very much. The chair will recognize himself to start off the questions.
Mr. Knodell, you’re the one in charge at the White House for safeguarding classified information, isn’t that correct?
MR. KNODELL: That’s correct.
REP. WAXMAN: And in — in doing so, you have an executive order, 12958, that implements the regulations for protection of this information. I want to ask you about that and, of course, we’re looking at it in the context of Mrs. Wilson’s identity being disclosed. Federal regulations require that any person who has knowledge of the loss or compromise of classified information has an obligation to report to the White House security officer. I’m going to read from 5 CFR Section 1312.30, “Any White House employee who has knowledge of the loss or possible compromise of classified information should report the circumstances to the EOP security officer,” end quote. Is that accurate, Mr. Knodell?
MR. KNODELL: Yes, it is.
REP. WAXMAN: And do White House officials who know about the disclosure of classified information have an obligation to report what they know to you?
MR. KNODELL: Yes, sir.
REP. WAXMAN: And Mr. Leonard, you’re one of the nation’s experts on protection of classified information.
Do federal officials who learn of the possible breach of classified information have an obligation to report it to the security officer at the White House?
MR. LEONARD: Any individual who becomes aware of a security violation, especially one which may involve an unauthorized disclosure, has the obligation to promptly report that matter to the designated official to receive it.

He reports that the neocons working out of Dick Cheney’s Office (former Iran Contra spooks) are now funding Al Qaeda linked groups with STOLEN Iraqi Funds in an effort to increase the Sunni-Shia conflict, and apparently no one cares?
This is definitely worth a look-see! Amazing!

Hundreds Arrested At White House Christian Anti-War Protest

WASHINGTON — Thousands of Christians prayed for peace at an anti-war service Friday night at the Washington National Cathedral, kicking off a weekend of protests around the country to mark the fourth anniversary of the war in Iraq.
Afterward, participants marched with battery-operated faux candles through snow and wind toward the White House, where police began arresting protesters shortly before midnight. Protest guidelines require demonstrators to continue moving while on the White House sidewalk.
“We gave them three warnings, and they broke the guidelines,” said Lt. Scott Fear. “There’s an area on the White House sidewalk where you have to keep moving.”
About 100 people crossed the street from Lafayette Park _ where thousands of protesters were gathered _ to demonstrate on the White House sidewalk late Friday. Police began cuffing them and putting them on buses to be taken for processing.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day…And, About The Authors!!!

I started blogging in February 2006 and my first “blog experience” was on the “From the Desk of Patrick J. Fitzgerald” blog. In August 2006 I created the S-Q blog and little did I know at that time that I would be writing this letter today.
On March 7, 2007 we were informed that the “Fitz” blog was closing. I had several good “blogging buddies” on the “Fitz” blog and thought it would be great to have some of them as authors on my blog! I offered and they graciously accepted. I would like to express to each of them a great deal of gratitude for their time, effort and dedication to Truth and Justice. So, with that said, I am going to post a little about each of these friends.
Basheert
Basheert (nickname is Basheert) is Hebrew and it means “Soulmate”. She lives in Arizona and is an avid reader both fiction, non-fiction and anything anti-this-Administration. She has traveled extensively including Egypt and Jordan. Basheert said, “I discovered blogs when it became obvious the mainstream media was not only not doing their job, but in fact, was not disseminating information critical to our country’s well being.” She enjoys writing and walking that line between opinion and information. Basheert is a lot of fun to chat with!
Captain Kit
Captain Kit (nickname Kit) is a writer living in Hawaii. Professionally, she has worked in politics, volunteer and paid, understands the spin, and knows the majority are really good people, working hard to do the right thing. Kit said, “But as we’ve seen it’s easy to subvert the system if that’s your agenda. Yet justice will always prevail. There are people like Fitzgerald and Plame and many more who do their job. And we bloggers – there are some outstanding ones, who really put their heart and soul into doing the right thing, like our Fitz, to keep the light shining.” Kit is such a nice person and a super friend!
Global_Evildoer_Fighter
Global_Evildoer_Fighter (nickname GEF) is a very private person and if anybody blows his cover he’ll have his/her head! He has a wild sense of humor so be prepared for some comedy relief! Global_Evildoer_Fighter is a nice guy but please don’t tick him off because I don’t want to see any heads rolling..!
Minor Ripper
Minor Ripper (nickname Minor) lives in NYC. He is a super nice guy and has a great blog! He has a very busy schedule but we hope to hear from him as time allows. Minor Ripper is well known in the blogosphere and offers a wonderful network of people!
Prissy Patriot
Prissy Patriot (nickname Prissy) studied Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, along with war and terrorism. She has taught violence prevention skills to the incarcerated; adults and juveniles- in many central Ohio prisons including medium and maximum security facilities. (It works!) She did her time in the trenches too, working as an officer in institutional security. Prissy Patriot is a bit of a prankster, so watch her!
Quzi
Quzi (nickname Q) is a technology consultant, wife and mother of a three-year old living in the Midwest. She started blogging in 2005 for therapy as she watched the White House administration and Congress partake in the worst and most absolute corruption in the history of our great nation. Quzi said, “I believe blogging is essential to bringing truth to the American people because I have not seen the mainstream media acting in the best interest of our citizens and covering what is really going on in our government. But as bloggers, we will take back our country, nonetheless!” Quzi has a great sense of humor!

Hearing on Disclosure of Plame’s Identity: No Investigation

The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a hearing on whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson. Here Rep. Elijah Cummings and Chairman Henry Waxman question Dr. James Knodell, Director of the Office of Security in the White House, on whether there was ever a White House investigation into the leak.
CBS Says Gonzales Will Exit Soon — As McClatchy Reports His Apology to Attorneys

NEW YORK CBS News reported Friday night that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will be fired soon, probably after another weekend of taking shots from Democrats and Republicans alike.
The report came on the CBS Evening News.
Republicans close to the White House told CBS News chief White House correspondent Jim Axelrod that President Bush is in “his usual posture: pugnacious, that no one is going to tell him who to fire.” But sources also said Gonzales’ firing is just a matter of time, Axelrod said.
The White House is bracing for a weekend of criticism and more calls for Gonzales to go, CBS related. One source said he’s never seen the administration in such deep denial, “and Republicans are growing increasingly restless for the president to take action,” CBS reported.
